During this first year, the student will acquire the necessary tools and knowledge for entry to the world of business. Each student must obtain the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) – the international standard for validating the skills of all computer users – and attain competence in at least 2 foreign languages, of which one must be English. The other foreign language can be Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese or Arabic.
After two semesters of academic work, the student undertakes a compulsory Six-month work placement.
